THE FANTASTIXXX – METAMORPHOSIS

The Fantastixxx are a highly talented and creative group who love to sing, act, dance, and share exciting experiences. They are also renowned for their skills in the visual arts, producing much admired paintings which now adorn the walls of so many homes in the community.

The group was founded by Gail Wiltshire proprietor and director of the Twelfth Night Theatre in Brisbane. Gail has extensive qualifications and experience in international drama, musical theatre, and Theatre in Education; and has her own children’s theatre company THE OZ PEOPLE.

The creation of the Fantastixxx followed Gail’s previous successful establishment of centres for creative activities for people with various challenges, including the Playhouse in Wooloowin, and many programs in schools, and at her theatre.

The idea for the Fantastixxx came from her experience with a challenged and talented lad who said that his hero was Douglas Bader, who overcame the loss of his legs to become a famous war time fighter pilot. Gail took this as inspiration to found the Fantastixxx to perform their original concert called Reach for the Sky.

The Fantastixxx have performed to delighted audiences ever since, in places such as Sydney, Uluru, Alice Springs, Noosa, and the Scenic Rim.
